Directions from Alicante Airport

1. Once you have collected your hire car, leave the airport via the 'Salida' signs.
2. Turn left heading for A7 Murcia
3. As soon as you have left the airport take the right hand lane to avoid going into the airport again
4. Join the main road from the airport slip road going away from the sea
5. Go as far as you can on that road before joining the A7 motorway going to Murcia, you will go over the motorway, swing left in a circle to hed right towards Murcia
6. After a few exits to Elche ( Elx ) and two exits to Crevillente you see signs to a new motorway A37 to Torrevieja and Cartegena. Take the right slip road onto the A37
7. Continue on the A37 towards Torrevieja / Cartegena - this is a toll motorway and you will go through 2 toll gates - the first after passing the 'Torrevieja norte' junction. It is easiest to pay with a credit card - just go through the cards-only barrier - the cost is around £1.60
8. Leave the A37 at the exit signed 'La Zenia urbanizaciones', go through another toll station ( cost again approx. £1.60 ), and then take the second exit off the roundabout ( right ) for La Zenia
9. At the next roundabout turn right onto the N332 to Cartegena
10. Cabo Roig is the next major turning to the left, the new roundabout now makes this turn easier
11. El Cid 1 is immediately on your right, if the carpark gates are open drive in and park. If the carpark gates are locked the gates key is in the house.
